Hello teachers! This month I wanted to bring you some October freebies that you can use in your classroom today!
Halloween Number Recognition Google Slides Freebie
There are 2 versions of this activity so that you can use it with both students who need to learn the names of the numbers 1-5 and also students who will spin the spinner and say the name as they move the piece on the board.
A great way to shake up your google meet or zoom live sessions is by introducing sounds from this soundboard. I have tons of different sound effects to choose from to make your session enjoyable and fun for your students. I think the most used sound this month will be the witch’s laugh!
I love combining songs and fine motor skills. This fun and simple activity requires students to prepare a small craft and attach it to a straw or dowel. They will also need a cup to poke a hole in. The song asks where is pumpkin? The students lower the seed side into the cup and then watch the pumpkin grow by spinning it to the correct side and raising it out of the cup. It is sung to the tune of where is thumbkin.
How fun is having a virtual Halloween party! For the first slide, just add some fun activity ideas and add your bitmoji for a fun intro. On the second slide is a fun dance party, you can easily duplicate this slide and add more dancing fun. The slide after that is a virtual pumpkin carving activity and finally, a template for your students to add a photo of their costume or add a costume from an online search, write about their costume and favorite candy for the annual Halloween parade – this year done a bit different!
